The first step in setting up Netscape to check your POP email account is to launch Netscape Messenger. Messenger is the part of Netscape that can check email and may be reached in several ways. Below is a screenshot of the Netscape Browser, the part of the program that handles web pages.

Across the bar at the bottom are several buttons. The second of these buttons is for launching Messenger. You can also launch that part of the program through the "Tasks" menu. Within is a listing for Mail and Newsgroups. To continue this tutorial click the Messenger button at the bottom of the screenshot.
